I guess our website wouldn't be complete without a few pictures of our other resident critters.Rebel, the orphaned foal, was raised on a bottle. He is definitely Jaime's "baby"! I KNEW all that goat milk would come in handy some day!
BIG BIRD was a blue slate turkey...now he is our 2011 Thanksgiving entree! ; )

This is our daugher Chelsea on Cowboy, her 25 year old Appaloosa. I raised Appaloosas for almost 20 years, so we have to have at least one for old times sake!

This is my mare, Sis. We ride her on the trail, she does quite well in gymkhanas, and my daughter jumps her over low jumps.

Sis, or AQHA She Likes Carats

The buckskin is my daughter's filly, Disco. Disco was born here on the Blunderosa and has since "run away to college" with my daughter.

This is Audrey on Snazzy's Parfait AAA. Parfait is the dam of Disco. Parfait taught Audrey all about running barrels and riding fast. She went to college with Audrey, but sadly passed away a few days after arrival. We still miss her.

This is Eyes So Lucky AQHA, one of Sis's foals, as a yearling.
Our dogs are our companions and main helpers here on the farm. We raised Australian Shepherds for several years and at one time had 4 generation of females here.
Australian Shepherds are herding dogs. Although normally very gentle with the horses and goats, we NEVER leave them with unsupervised access to the goats.

THE BEAR DOG

Shaylee, our beautiful "Grandma Dog
RIP 2/13/2009
Shaylee would mother baby goats, Julie's puppies, anything she could get access to. She had a sweet spirit and was very intelligent
Jule, daugher of Shaylee.

This is our stud dog, Hoss. Hoss is 12 years old now, and still going strong.
Hey...when you're old, you get to supervise!

The kids were learning agility in 4H. I guess the dogs were, too!

Shaylee jumping....Super dog???

Yep, you guessed it...Julie, too.

Julie and newborn litter

After all the jumping and having puppies, we have to rest sometime!

Shaylee would smile on command.

Window peeper! A common sight when Shaylee was out and we weren't!

Our menagerie included Mickey D, a boston terror. Yes, I said terror, not terrier. We bought him when he was 7 weeks old, and he lived to the ripe old age of 14. He definitely owned the floor!

Now we have Rufus, a doberman. A dear friend gave Rufus to my daughter before she moved. My husband says he would no longer use the term "friend"....just kidding.
Rufie quickly became part of the family and now has his own room, formerly my daughter's room. ; )
